Todd and Melissa, our customers, moved into their beautiful new home in Lincoln, CA this past year. They, unfortunately, inherited a very problematic garage door.
A few of the garage door panels were cracked. This can be very dangerous as it can compromise the proper functioning of the garage door.
It’s possible to temporarily repair a cracked panel by reinforcing it, but eventually, you need to replace the door as the fix only lasts a year or so.
You can see one of the cracks here:
In addition to the cracked panels, the garage door opener was pretty old and made a lot of noise. There isn’t really a repair for this problem, especially since it functioned properly, it was just noisy.
Todd and Melissa decided to just go ahead and get a brand new garage door, and a new garage door opener along with it.
The door we upgraded with was an insulated, heavy-duty garage door hardware. This should stand up to many years of wear and tear before Todd and Melissa have to replace it again.
The door looks great from the outside as well!
The last thing we did was install a new garage door opener. This Chamberlain model is great, includes WiFi abilities, and best of all, it’s quiet!
In the video below you can see how nice and quiet the opener sounds as the garage door opens.
Now you can see how much better the door looks and sounds! This opener is a belt drive opener, which is not only the quietest opener on the market, it’s also maintenance free.
It is generally more expensive than chain drive or screw drive openers, but after getting a new garage door, an opener that is NO maintenance is a great choice and will stand the test of time.
